Quick and Juicy Oven Burgers

I love burgers and my mother always made them in the oven growing up. I think it was because she didn't know how to BBQ and she didn't have the time for that with 5 hungry kids pulling on her skirt. I don't have her exact recipe because she made it a little different every time. However I always remember her cracking an egg into the mixture. So after a few attempts I have recreated the juicy burgers I once loved as a kid.
These burgers are quick and easy to make. They're great when you're hankering for a burger but you don't own a grill or know how to grill. Or if you live in the desert like me you REALLY don't want to go outside in the 100 degree weather.
All you need for this easy recipe is some Ground Beef, Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, BBQ Sauce and an Egg (not pictured below). I preheated my oven for 350 degrees and covered a cookie sheet in foil and sprayed it with oil.
I put the meat in a bowl, and added all the ingredients except the egg and mixed it together with my hands.
After the seasoning was well mixed I added the egg and started forming the patties. This recipe makes 4 thick burgers or 6 thin ones. It is easier to separate the meat into equal sections and then form the balls.
Next, I patted them flat in my hand and placed them on a greased cookie sheet. Then I popped them in the oven for 20 minutes. I checked the hamburgers every 5 minutes and flipped them over halfway through cooking to get them browned on both sides.
Depending on how thick you form your hamburger patties it may take more or less time to cook. I recommend checking the meat with a meat thermometer to make sure it is fully cooked.
Once they are finished cooking, toast some buns and add some butter to them. Top it off with your favorite burger toppings. YUM!
Quick & Juicy Oven Burgers Recipe
This is a delicious recipe for making juicy burgers in the oven.
1 Lbs Ground Beef (We Buy 80% Lean & 20% Fat)
2 TBS BBQ Sauce (Any Kind)
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Pepper
1 Tsp Salt
1 Egg
First you will want to prepare a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet for the burgers. You will want to cover the sheet in foil and spray it with oil and set aside.
Then in a bowl add the ground beef and all the other ingredients except the egg and mix it together with your hands to ensure even distribution of seasoning. After the seasoning is mixed add the egg and mix well.
Next you're going to form the patties. You could make 4 thick patties or 6 thinner ones depending on your preference. Its easiest to section out the meat in the bowl into 4 or 6 equal mounds and then form them into balls and pat them flat in your hand.
Place them on the prepared cookie sheet and pop them in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Make sure you check them every 5 minutes to flip them so both sides get brown.
Note: Burgers may need longer to cook depending on how thick you form them. It is always best to check if they are done with a meat thermometer.
